Topic: Arts & Culture – Expression & Intersections with Sustainability

The Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPR) unifies the power of arts & culture across our community. Through centralized services, gatherings, and strategic programs, they make creative workers & organizations were powerful and positively impactful for the Pikes Peak region. During this visit with Executive Director, Angela Seals, we’ll discuss the intersections between today’s arts community and environmental priorities, progress on the Arts Vision 2030 cultural plan, and what COPPR sees on the horizon for the creative life of El Paso & Teller counties.

Angela Seals is a creative leader, project manager, public programs designer, and speaker with 20 years of experience working at arts nonprofits. She has worked with the Cultural Office in a variety of roles since 2013. Angela has built a reputation for dynamic and collaborative impact across her career in Colorado Springs and at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust / Pittsburgh Dance Council, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, D.C. She has been honored with awards for her service to the field, including the 2024 Women of Influence Award from Colorado Springs Business Journal and the 2022 Juneteenth Community Award from Pikes Peak Diversity Council.

Peak Alliance for a Sustainable Future is a 501c3 non-profit organization that strives to promote regional sustainability in the Pikes Peak region and to advance the regional sustainability plan called “Looking to Our Future: Pikes Peak Region 2030″ [2012]. We serve as a hub for sustainability information and resources and provide networking, education, and consulting opportunities to businesses, organizations, and residents in the Pikes Peak Region.
